JAM 2027 Information
The New Mexico chapter of The Wildlife Society is excited to host The Wildlife Society's 2027 Joint Annual Meeting, and for the first time it will be in Las Cruces, NM. Whether you are a student, new professional, or career professional please join us February 4th to the 6th in Las Cruces!
The theme of this year's conference will be "Where's the Water?" - how has recent drought, climate change, and overall lower water levels in lakes, streams, and reservoirs impacted fish and wildlife? And what can we as fish and wildlife professionals do in response? Plenary talks will focus on the current and predicted future status of water/precipitation in the Southwest, how drought and lower water levels have impacted fish, wildlife, and ecosystems, and what wildlife professionals are doing (or plan to do) to address lower water levels as they conserve, manage, and research fish and wildlife.
Please be on the lookout for more information regarding conference hotels and abstract submission coming soon!
We would also like to congratulate Emma Varela for winning our logo contest.
Her logo features a Black-throated Sparrow atop a Cholla in front of the Organ Mountains. Congratulations, Emma!
